SCHOOL PRESENTATIONS

Wrappin About Reptiles is a hands-on educational organization that informs the public in a very entertaining atmosphere about reptiles and their benefits to nature. In our travels we have visited thousands of children and adults alike across British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba with an overwhelming response. We talk about the benefits of reptiles, their loss of habitat, and endangered species, some of which we bring to the shows. Most importantly, we discuss the conservation of not only reptiles but of all wildlife.

Wrappin About Reptiles got it's start back in 1995 when we were known simply as "The Reptile Guys".

Dean Harper started his company with a small but diverse family of reptiles and amphibians and a mission to educate the public on these misunderstood creatures and the myths that follow them. His collection of reptiles has now grown to well over 250 reptiles in addition to other exotics.

We are always adding more to our family and one day hope to have one of the largest collections in North America.

We bring a large range of creatures with us, everything from small Cornsnakes to very large Burmese Pythons, Lizards, Amphibians, and of course even the odd bug every once and a while.

The above list is just a sample of what we have and is not a list of what we bring with us all the time due to feedings, shedding, etc. We bring on average 7 - 12 reptiles with us unless otherwise discussed.

When doing school programs we can bring indigenous reptiles and amphibians relating to your class/grade science study/life sciences program e.g. wetland or pond ecosystems. We cover all grades from K - 12 and modify our programs to suite them accordingly. The children get an opportunity to handle and pet these misunderstood links to a prehistoric time. We also encourage you to bring a camera and take as many photos as you wish to, the reptiles Love to smile for the camera.

Some of our educational Tools

Aside from the live reptiles in our shows we also have many items on loan to us from Environment Canada. These are items that have been smuggled into Canada or been bought by unsuspecting travelers. We are one of the few non-government companies to have the privilege to display and talk about these items.

THE FUTURE OF ALL WILDLIFE INCLUDING REPTILES IS THROUGH EDUCATION!

WE ARE COVERED BY 2 MILLION IN LIABILITY INSURANCE.

Our staff have all had criminal background checks and been cleared to work with children and are updated yearly.

Our requirements are simple:
*Show us where to set up and bring the kids to us.
*Gymnasiums or Libraries work best.
*We do full or half day shows.

* we do not charge mileage *

It is difficult to find healthier, or more stunning reptiles in captivity. We have raised almost all the reptiles from the time they were born or hatched. No one and I swear NO ONE other then staff has been bitten by any of the reptiles! The reptiles and their enclosures are kept immaculately clean as to cut the risk of contracting any germs or bacteria from touching them. They are fed an appropriate diet and live in large habitats with the temperature and humidity requirements that mirrors their natural environments. Although the reptiles are trained, and not aggressive, children are only allowed to pet the reptiles under our very close supervision. Safety is our #1 concern and we have never had an accident in the past 15 years of school programs or our displays! That is over 6000 shows without an incident. We do not bring venomous reptiles to our programs or displays.

Several educators have told us that we are one of the best educational shows that they have ever seen.

Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions as well as rate information and availability.
