MALL SHOWS & FESTIVALS

Watch Dean, James and Maureen as they take you on a reptile adventure through the African desert to the South American rainforest. Everyone of these shows is highly educational, very entertaining and jam packed with reptiles from all over the world.

Wrappin About Reptiles is a hands-on educational organization that informs the public in a very entertaining atmosphere about reptiles and their benefits to nature. In our travels we have visited thousands of children and adults alike across British Columbia, Alberta, and Saskatchewan with an overwhelming response. We talk about the benefits of reptiles, their loss of habitat, and endangered species, some of which we bring to the shows. Most importantly, we discuss the conservation of not only reptiles but of all wildlife.

Wrappin About Reptiles got it's start back in 1995 when we were known simply as "The Reptile Guys".

Dean Harper started his company with a small but diverse family of reptiles and amphibians and a mission to educate the public on these misunderstood creatures and the myths that follow them. His collection of reptiles has now grown to well over 150 reptiles in addition to other exotics.

James Barbas joined shortly after Dean got started , and along with his vast knowledge and his growing collection or reptiles we now have over 200 reptiles to choose from.

We are always adding more to our family and one day hope to have one of the biggest collections in North America.

When appearing at malls or any other event, we tailor our show to suit audiences of all ages. We provide the public with an opportunity to pet and have their picture taken with some of these exotic and rare cold-blooded creatures, such as Giant pythons, Huge Tortoises, Dragons and many others.

The Wrappin About Reptiles show is a combination of an interactive display, with actual shows at set times, these shows are an average of 30 to 60 minutes at different times throughout the day. These are discussed and set up before arrival to your venue. During the non-show times the staff is still at the display answering questions and just interacting with the public; this is where most of the hands-on is done, once again giving anyone who wants a chance to touch  a reptile if their brave enough.

We have been informed that merchants have observed an increase of mall traffic and sales throughout the malls where we've been set up. With the intrigue and present hype of dinosaurs it is no wonder that peoples fascination with reptiles is so high. With this display / show the public is both educated and entertained so you could call us an "edutainment" company.

Our staff have all had criminal background checks and been cleared to work with children

We are covered by a 2 million dollar liability insurance.
All of display cages which have the larger reptiles are key-locked.
We have T-shirts, posters and hats for sale, we also charge a small fee for pictures taken with some of the reptiles
We have promotional / advertising packets available upon request, any other
promo material must be approved by Wrappin About Reptiles.

Our requirements for set up at or in your facility or event are:

*Power hook-up, 4 - 12 tables (with skirting if available) depending on size of location.
*If at an outdoor event a power supply.
*A rope boundary to keep the public out of some settings.
*A minimum 12x12 foot space - but we can go much larger.
*Empty store bays work amazingly well.

We do not charge mileage.

Aside from the live reptiles in our shows we also have many items on loan to us from Environment Canada. These are items that have been smuggled into Canada on purpose or by unsuspecting travelers. We are one of the few non-government companies to have the privilege to display and talk about these items.
