Reptile display big hit at annual chamber trade fair
The Wainwright Star Chronicle Tuesday, April 20,2004 - Derek Kilbourn

Attendees of the Wainwright Show and Sale were able to get up close and personal with some cool and scaly characters as Wrappin About Reptiles brought it's on the road presentation to Wainwright.

Two hundred reptiles were on display during two on stage shows and in the Wrappin About reptiles booth in the green arena.

Founder Dean Harper and his partner James Barbas put together the presentations and the booths.

Their purpose is to educate people about the often misunderstood reptiles, and include one message that is often used with pets. "IF you really want one, talk to you parents, figure out if you can take care of it, and then start looking for one that you can be responsible for".

Audiences were packed for the on-stage events, and kids of all ages took in the booth display which included a Burmese python )Thing), Alligator Snapping turtle (Mr. Fingers) and African tortoise (Mort) as well as many other reptiles.
